Stowe Community Church’s Christmas Fair
Stowe – December 5, 2009
Stowe Community Church hosts its annual Christmas fair, featuring needle crafts, baked goods, collectibles, decorated wreaths, children’s activities, historic Stowe afghans and a quilt raffle. Route 100. 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. For more information, visit www.gostowe.com.

Festival of Wreaths
Middlebury – December 5, 2009
The annual Festival of Wreaths is a silent auction benefiting the Mary Johnson Children’s Center. Come enjoy the sounds of the Brandon Brass at 4 p.m. The event is free and open to the public. 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Mahaney Center for the Arts, Route 30. The North Pole Express
Lyndonville – December 5-6, 2009
Experience the old time magic of Christmas aboard fully enclosed and heated vintage coaches as you travel to The North Pole to pick up Santa and his elves.  Snuggle in for storytelling, hot cocoa, gingerbread cookies and caroling on the way to The North Pole where Santa boards the train and greets all passengers with a special gift. Wassail Weekend
Woodstock – December 11-13, 2009
For more than 25 years, Wassail Weekend in Woodstock has welcomed people from near and far to celebrate in unique ways. The term has its roots in medieval England referring to the Norse “ves heill,” meaning to “drink to the health.”  Enjoy a Wassail Parade, house tours, holiday activities, food, music and more. Walk of the Santas
Dover – December 11-13, 2009
Enjoy the annual Walk of the Santas weekend, an event full of Christmas cheer and fun for all ages. A portion of the proceeds will go to Deerfield Valley Community Cares heat assistance program.  The weekend will be full of great activities including a Santa charity walk, valley wide scavenger hunt, arts and craft fair, gingerbread house exhibit and more. Coolidge Holiday Open House
Plymouth Notch – December 12, 2009
Enjoy the traditions of the season at the birthplace of Calvin Coolidge. Visit the Coolidge Birthplace, decorated as it would have been in 1872, the year the future president was born. Winter exhibits will be at the Aldrich House, Plymouth Cheese Factory and 1924 Summer White House office. The Polar Express
White River Junction – December 12-13, 2009
All aboard! The Polar Express comes to life on the Green Mountain Railroad. Read along with the story as the train makes its magical round trip journey to the North Pole. Meet Santa and enjoy caroling, hot cocoa and a treat and a special gift for each child. Tickets $20 adults, $15 children under age 12. Departs from White River Junction Railroad Station. Hildene Holiday Evenings

First Night
